Co-Living at Impact Evaluator Research Retreat in Iceland
The Impact Evaluator Research Retreat is a two-week intensive program for researchers, practitioners, and innovators in impact evaluation, mechanism design, and public goods funding. During the retreat, participants explore IE mechanism design and pilot insights, algorithmic diversity and generalization principles, and applications of IE frameworks to new contexts. Attendees collaborate on research, prototyping, and open-source implementation development.
I lived alongside many brilliant protocol pioneers from Protocol Labs, including Juan, Molly, Luca, David G, and Sejal. I'm also familiar with researchers like David Dao, who pioneered the Data Evaluator subdomain (where I learned about the Shapley value of data), and Joel Miller from UIC who helped improve the quadratic funding mechanism, and Kevin Owocki from Gitcoin.
I learned about Hypercert for impact recording. I believe it has significant potential to revolutionize Decentralized Science.
